Movimento Danza - Association for Dance Promotion Nationwide is today one of the main artistic and cultural centres in Italy. Dance has always been for us a fundamental and vital artistic, cultural, aesthetic and existential adventure, a life style that involves an ever-increasing number of people every day. In twenty-five years of uninterrupted activity the national and European dimension of our project has developed and spread towards various directions that today include artistic creation, training, promotion, production, documentation. Our aim remains that of making dance known to all as a comprehensive and total form of art.
Our fundamental objectives have not changed over the years:
- to promote locally an independent, permanent and continuing activity through actions and forms of expression of an innovative and experimental type of dance, based on research;
- to hold out against all the cultural and financial difficulties existing in the South of Italy, where we operate and have been taking roots.
The direct contact and the constant exchange with both Italian and European institutions operating at international level has produced on us a sort of acceleration effect; our ideas, our dreams and our thoughts travel and spread at an ever-increasing speed.
We work every day so that our dreams and wishes turn into tangible and concrete results.
We still dream of a day when 'making' dance and watching it can become an artistic, existential cultural and aesthetic adventure, accessible to many, if not to all.
