WOOD
WOOD is a performative installation that explores the concept of balance in relation to a material that has profoundly marked epochs, cultures and knowledge of all times: wood.
On stage are three wooden boards and a single body, emblematic of a humanity in constant transformation and in obsessive search for steady points. The performer, plunged into an unstable and precarious condition is able to create, build, and shape the space in which she inhabits and, in an attempt to decode and control the reality that appears changeable and elusive, she also develops new techniques of adaptation and expression. Wood is a visual journey that awakens endless suggestions related to the continuous research of balance; these visions swing on an imaginative edge, where the only possibility of survival is the continuous pursuit of elasticity, a strategic property that allows human beings to live in harmony with the environment that surrounds them, of which wood is declination by antonomasia.
WOOD is a project shared with dancer, choreographer and aerial performer Marianna Moccia, co-founder of the company FUNA.
